Ironically, I don't think he's called anything besides Victor Creed in the film. I know it was controversial to make him and Wolverine brothers, but I dug it. A whole lot better than whatever the heck that version of Sabretooth we got in the first X-Men, anyway. I love me some Liev Schreiber and he absolutely kills it as Sabretooth. This was another movie that nearly killed the franchise.īefore I get to the bad, and there's a lot of bad, let's talk about the good. Hugh Jackman is one of the finest actors of our generation, and is quite good in the film, but he got stuck with a mess of a movie. Particularly, I forgot just how unfortunately mishandled X-Men Origins: Wolverine was. Rating: PG-13 (Some Partial Nudity|Intense Sequences of Action|Violence)īecause of all the continuity inconsistencies in the X-Men universe, I had forgotten quite a bit. Logan's thirst for revenge propels him into the Weapon X program, where he undergoes a painful procedure to bond his bones with adamantium, making him virtually indestructible and more than a match for Victor. Logan's peaceful existence is shattered when Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber), his vicious brother, brutally murders Kayla.
Seeking solace from his dark past, Logan (Hugh Jackman), better known as Wolverine, seems to have found love and contentment with Kayla Silverfox (Lynn Collins).
